From Toronto: Piebird is an easy 3 1/2 hr drive from the GTA, traveling mostly four lane highways will bring you right to our door (with a couple great vegan restaurants on the way, like Boon Burger in Barrie).
Take the 400 / Highway 11 north to Powassan, then take HWY 534 West for 13 km, turn right on HWY 654 East for 1 km, through Nipissing Village and turn left on Chapman's Landing Rd (just before the South River). Then continue for 1/2 km on the gravel road right to our door. Near Becker's Berry Patch.
From Sudbury: Drive through North Bay, south on HWY 11, turning west on HWY 654 until you cross the South River, then an immediate right on Chapman's Landing Rd.
There is an airport in North Bay, we'd be happy to arrange a pick-up. Air Canada & Porter fly here.
Traveling without a car?
Ontario Northland offers Bus service to our area from either Toronto or up north. We'd be happy to arrange pick-up in Powassan.
The 'Old Nipissing Road' once saw 100 teams of horses a day come up through Commanda to Nipissing Village, now it's the perfect backcountry route for you to cycle your way to Piebird.
